Javea's 25km of coastline is home to stunning beaches, coves and caves. The beaches are annually awarded with the EU's Blue Flag. There are a number of coves tucked away around the coast, but here's a list of the most popular:

El Arenal

Only a few minutes from the Villa is this Large and lively sandy beach, lined with a promenade of lively restaurants and bars. It is the busiest beach around Javea, but there's plenty for the kids to do and loads of places to eat and drink. There are also a range shops, boutiques and a supermarket.

La Grava

Located near Javea Port, this shingle beach is situated at the front of Javea town near a range of restaurants and bars, and there is a tourist information point nearby.

Cala Blanca

Small beach surrounded by white cliffs, and has an intricate layout of rock pools to its left. The beach can only be reached on foot, but there is parking nearby.

La Barraca O Portitxol

Large pebble cove looking out to the Isle of Portitxol. The water surrounding the beach is shallow which makes it ideal for paddling or snorkelling. There is a selection of restaurants behind the beach.

You can take a beautiful walk down to the beach from Creu del Portitxol, with fantastic views of Isle of Portitxol, but it's best not to tackle it wearing flip-flops!

Ambolo

Pebble cove, which is just south of Cap de la Nau, the nearest point between the mainland and the island of Ibiza. Naturists use the beach.
