JAVEA

Javea is an exclusive resort. Apart from the magnificent setting, Javea offers a superb choice of fine restaurants and bars as well as an excellent choice of water sports, 2 golf courses and a range of other leisure activities.

This beautiful and well-preserved seaside town is ideal for visitors of all ages. Javea consists of three distinct areas. The Arenal beach, the Port and the Old Town

The Arenal

Two mins drive from the Villa. The Arenal, with its magnificent beach and palm tree lined promenade is wonderful for sunbathing and safe swimming. There are dozens of good restaurants and bars along the promenade with a large variety to cater for all tastes. Mexican, Chinese, Thai, traditional Spanish, Indian, Indonesian, Italian, French, even good old fish and chips. In the evenings craft stalls are set up along the promenade and there are many amusements to keep both adults and children entertained. The main road through Javea also had numerous bars and restaurant's. These tend to be cheaper than the ones on the front.

The Port

The old town and port is situated next to a long sandy beach fringed with orange groves and set against the backdrop of the Mongo mountains. Five mins drive from the villa. The Port area of Javea is around fifteen minutes walk from the Arenal beach and has more excellent bars, restaurants and gift shops. A bustling, hive of activity, the Port has great character and has retained all of its Spanish "feel" of years gone by. Rod fishing off the pier or the rocks is very popular and if you don't catch anything you can always buy fresh fish from the nightly fish markets.

The Old Town

Five mins drive from the Villa. Like the Port, the "Old Town" has maintained its whitewashed buildings and narrow streets. Typically Spanish, there is always something going on, lively fiestas, fantastic firework displays and Regular Street markets.

Activities

This friendly, upmarket town has a great atmosphere and offers a wide range of activities. These include Golf, sailing, swimming, scuba diving, water skiing, wind surfing, cycling, tennis, jet ski, go-karting or quieter pursuits, snorkeling, coarse fishing, bird watching, walking and horse riding all of which makes for a full and interesting lifestyle.

In summer you can expect temperatures around 35c. During the short winter (6 to 8 weeks) the temperature tends to be quite mild and rarely drops below 16 degrees during the day and is often in the twenties
